Skive market town in 700 years

In 2026, Skive will celebrate its 700th anniversary as a market town, and the first steps for the celebration are already underway in 2024.

In this film, city archivist Kristian Buhl Thomsen tells the story of Skive’s history and the celebration of the town’s anniversaries in 1926 and 1976.

The film was shown on Monday, June 17 at Skive Municipality’s public meeting at Skive Theater, where everyone present had an imaginative discussion about how to celebrate the anniversary of the market town in 2026.
