On the occasion of Christmas, Skive City Archive invites you into the atmospheric and Christmas-decorated rooms at Gammel Skivehus.
It will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00-14:00.
On the day, you can experience a range of features:
800 years of history in Skive’s oldest cellar
– On the day we open the exhibition “Skive’s oldest cellar”, where we tell the story of Gammel Skivehus through 800 years in text and pictures.
Skive’s largest Christmas calendar
– We show Skive’s largest Christmas calendar, where you can find out what’s hiding behind the doors.
An elf at Gammel Skivehus
– You can hear a folk tale from 1890 about a mischievous elf at Gammel Skivehus. The story is recorded by city archivist Kristian Buhl Thomsen.
Christmas model railroad
– The Christmas tree is decorated in the sheriff’s residence and the Christmas model railroad runs around it. It is made available by the turntable.
Santa arrives at 12:00 noon
– We have received reliable reports from the far north that Santa Claus will pay a visit to Gammel Skivehus at 12:00.
