Nature walk in Jensen & Sørensen’s Plantation

Monday, August 11 at 19:00 there is a hike in Jensen & Sørensen’s Plantation near Rønbjerg.

Here you can experience the beautiful nature and hear the story of an area that was previously characterized by the hard work of peat workers digging peat in the bogs. The desolate moorland was also home to the Rakkers – a traveling and outcast people who left their mark. As the peat was dug up, the area was gradually planted and today’s plantation emerged.

The evening’s guides are city archivist Kristian Buhl Thomsen, Christian Vad Holm (a “Jensen”) and Mads Tanderup Sørensen (a “Sørensen”).
