Skive City Archive contains records created by private individuals, companies and associations. In addition, there are historical photos and our book collection with local literature. References to a large part of our collection can be found on Arkiv.dk in the search form below.
The following can be viewed in the reading room by prior arrangement:
- Private archives created by private individuals, associations and companies etc.
- Clippings collection of large and small events mentioned in newspapers and the like.
- Newspapers (all newspapers published in Skive except Skive Folkeblad 1880-1933).
- Maps and architectural drawings.
- A good library with local literature.
- Older records from the municipal archive.
In addition, the archive contains:
- Photos (many of our photos can be viewed on Arkiv.dk).
- Films and audiotapes (contact us for more information).
The oldest parts of our collection are still registered on index cards, but we are working on getting references added to Arkiv.dk. Please contact us for further information.
